Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin is a high-ranking officer in the Galactic Empire featured in the Star Wars Original Trilogy.
His first appearance was in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. He commands the Death Star and is instrumental in its deployment as a weapon of fear and control.
Tarkin represents the cold, calculating efficiency of the Empire, prioritizing order and dominance above all else. His "Tarkin Doctrine" advocates for ruling through fear of overwhelming force.
